Amazing drive through all kinds of vegetation from lush jungle to a wide crater on top of the ly service in the Visitor Center with interesting ranger-talks. After sunrise, we did the Sliding Sands trail down the crater and followed the ranger's recommendation to do about an 11 mile hike that ended a couple of parking lots down the 5/5(K).

I bought this book for my kids ages 3, 6, & 9 in preparation for our trip to Hawaii. Each one of them has enjoyed it and now they have a better idea of what they will be seeing in the national park.
